Christmas in the First Grade

Christmas in the First Grade involves ooey, gooey, cupcakes, fruit punch juice drinks and iced cookies that look like Santa. Can you say "SUGAR"? as in overload!!
Snowball fight game!

I think I've baked all the cookies I care to bake for a year. I've made cut out cookies 2x and tollhouse chocolate chip cookies double batches 2x and barely made it to the Mom's Time Out cookie exchange with enough to participate! (Thanks to Hubby and kids) (of course, I didn't eat any of those!! NO, Not me!!)

I've made Pretzel treats 2x. WOW are the those the best (not that I was tasting them or anything). Saving the last batch for the New Year's Eve get together! Oh, and last night I made thumbprint cookies. YUM. First time I've ever made those. Okay, Yes, I tried those!

Today also was a double batch of Chex Mix. Anyway, this was supposed to be a post of Christmas in the First Grade! Last picture is the "snowball" fight game of which I was in charge since it was my idea! (got if from BSF) Anyway, the kids LOVED it. Even the teacher picked up stray "snowballs" and lobbed them at the kids. SO CUTE.

Company Christmas Party

Duckpin Bowling. Very fun. Steve's co-workers and their spouses were very fun people to get together with. We all decided we need a summer get together also!

Steve constructed Ellie's house while Drew constructed Katie's house. Joel was visiting a friend this evening.

Thanks Drew!!

Looking GOOD!

Gingerbread Houses with LOTS of help!!

Moving along to December! Last Friday night we went to a Family Fun night at the local YMCA to make Gingerbread Houses! I need to learn how to post a picture with the comments under each picture. I took a LOT of CUTE pictures this night.
Okay, everytime I add a picture it goes to the top. SO, I'm going to publish this post and start another but they will be out of order!! This post should be the last post so that you see it first! get it?

Thanksgiving

The Natives were a little restless!!

My Mom in the background! We had a wonderful visit with my parents who drove here from Upstate New York for the week. Highlights were bargain shopping with my Mom and eating lunch at Steak and Shake with my parents (just me and my parents!)

I love cooking Thanksgiving meal with my Mom. I love eating Thanksgiving meal with my whole family and I think I would love eating Thanksgiving meal with strangers!! I LOVE THANKSGIVING MEAL!!! We had turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes whole, green bean casserole, stuffing, sticky rolls and cranberry jello salad. At least that is what I remember. It is hard writing the post a month after the occasion. I could post a picture of the table that actually has the sticky rolls and jello salad (recipes that I posted awhile back) in the picture! Don't judge me. We aren't fancy people.

I can't get the pictures to post where I want them. I wanted the 2 first pictures to be BELOW my writing. down here!
